Upgrade

What do I say about this?  It reads like youth.
Disjointed in structure from individual sentence to overarching plot.
I needed something to turn my mind off with and get lost in...not sure it got there.
Or maybe I'm getting old.  My knees seem to think so.
I'll give it to my college-age son for Christmas and see what he thinks.
